Wikileaks

William Crosbie, a canadian representative to afghanistan, said that while in a meeting with U.S ambassador Karl Eikenberry and Hamid Karzai, Karl spoke very critically about the misuse of power of karzai and his family and wanted the international community to prevent him from advancing in elections.

I think wikileaks are okay because they let us know what is going on the world and it gives us freedom of speech.

Amazons Price Check App for Smartphone

Amazon has a new app that is available for the I Phone that allows you to check the price on an item in a store. The app has several different ways of finding out what the price is. Say It- allows you to say the name of the item into your phone and it gives you the price. Scan it- alllows you to scan the barcode with the camera in your phone. But your phone needs an auto focusing camera or it will not work. Snap it- allows you to take a picture of the cover of a book, dvd, or cd and it will find the price. You can also type the name into your phone. all of these systems on the app will help you to find the price on an item you want to buy.

Electric Nissan Leaf Gets equivalent of 99 MPG

The new Nissn Leaf is a battery powered car. Nissan compared the battery power to fuel milage. Nissan says that 33.7 Kilowatt hours is equal to 1 gallon of gas. The Leaf has a range of only 73 miles and takes 7 hours to charge. Annual electricity rates for the leaf are $561. The Nissan Leaf will be available next month.

a type of prosthetic eye may help blind people to see basic shapes and figures some day. Scientists tested this new discovery on blind mice. it helped the mice to see a babys face more clearly. Scientists say this will probably help 25 million people who have lost eye sight due to retinal diseases. it helps people to see bright spots or edges but misses most of the scene.

Movie Soundtracks Mimic Primordial sounds of Animal Distress

Some Movie Makers mimic sounds of animal distress in their films. This is known as non linear vocalization.
Film makers use these noises in horror, action, and war drama. They use these noises to catch the attention of the viewer. It also helps set the emotion of the setting. Scientists say that film makers have been doing this unconsciously, they use these noises because it sets the mood.
